Russellville receives $15K ADECA grant

Mayor David Grissom said when it comes to getting grants, you have to take advantage of every opportunity.
The city has received a $15,309 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, which will be administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
Grissom said the money will help with the purchase of a new vehicle for the police department’s Drug Division.
“When money is tight, you have to look at every opportunity for grant money,” Grissom said. “This will help us cover the cost of the new vehicle.
“We try to do all we can to update our (police department) fleet, but there is just so much money to go around, so getting a grant of any size is a blessing for us.”
