Thanks to a trade-in, the Russellville City Council purchased a new truck for the fire department for $29,848.50.

“We traded in an old 2006 truck that had been in use by the fire department,” Mayor David Grissom said.

Grissom said the city purchased a new 2018 dual-wheel crewcab truck from Long-Lewis Ford of Muscle Shoals.

“It’s something that the department needed. They use the truck for a variety of things,” Grissom said.
