In the News: Battle to campaign in Russellville Sunday

Huntsville Mayor and Alabama gubernatorial candidate Tommy Battle will be making a campaign stop in Russellville Sunday afternoon.
Battle, who is in his third term as Huntsville’s mayor, will be speaking in conjunction with open house of some recently completed downtown loft apartments.
Battle is seeking the Republican Party nomination for governor.
Mayor David Grissom said he invited Battle to attend Sunday’s event after the Huntsville mayor expressed interest in the redevelopment the town was undergoing.
Battle is expected to speak at 2 p.m. at the apartments on Jackson Avenue.
